CHEF TOBA GARRETT in MANILA!

 

Chef Toba Garrett will be conducting a 12-hour course on Basic Cake Decorating and Advanced Cake Decorating/or UPSCALE CUPCAKES on October 7, 8 and 9 at the American Hospitality Academy Philippines.

Details of workshop as follows:

A. Basic Cake Decorating -8AM to -12 NN, 12-hour course, 15 slots only

Students will learn how to pipe:
Classic and large Shells
Zigzag and variations
Rosettes
Reverse Shells
Fleur-de-lis
Rope
Garland variations
Rosebuds
Half Roses
Ruffles
Swags
Bows
Full Blown Roses
Level, split and fill a cake with buttercream icing
Pipe a top and bottom border
Decorate top of cake with piped roses

Course fee is $550, inclusive of all ingredients, t-shirt, apron and Certificate to be signed by Chef Toba Garrett

B. Advanced Cake Decorating OR possible change of course to UPSCALE CUPCAKES (tentative depending on number of enrollees) 12-hour course, 15 slots only

Coverage for Advanced Cake Decorating

Students will learn how to make gumpaste flowers. Flowers include:

Full Roses
Hibiscus
Tiger Lily
Carnations
Calla lily
Forget-me-nots
Bouvardias
Buds and leaf foliages
Petal Dusting and Arranging

Coverage for Upscale Cupcakes
Spend 12 hours making the most beautiful cupcakes ever. Award winning cake artist and master chef instructor Toba Garrett reveals her secrets and techniques for the most spectacular cupcakes ever.
The first part is spent making delicious cupcakes and beautiful edible ornaments to decorate the cupcakes and beautiful edible ornaments to decorate the cupcakes, such as royal icing flowers, ganache and more.
On the second part, you will decorate the cupcakes with two-dimensional designs, including lattice work, textured rolling pin designs, floral designs and buttercream piped designs.

Pre-requisite: Background in Cake Decorating or Basic Cake Decorating 1
